UASTEF-pTEF
UASTEF-pTEF is a synthetic hybrid promoter consisting of the upstream activation sequence(UAS), which is from translational elongation factor EF-1 α tef1, and the core promoter tef2. The tandem UAS elements of hybrid promoter could serve as synthetic transcriptional amplifiers to control expression levels.
Characterization
When assembled with GFP BBa_K3112009, and BBa_K3384311 in pRS426, this construct expressed GFP. Then the activity of the bybrid promoter can be quantitatively measured through flow cytometer. As is shown in Fig. 1, the UASTEF-pTEF promoter strength was expanded beyond the pTEF by 1.2-fold.
